HKTDC Opens Optical Fair with Record Exhibitor Numbers
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) opened its Hong Kong Optical Fair on 7th November at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) featuring a record of 810 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions.
Now in its 26th edition, the Optical Fair will run until 9th November and it will feature 10 thematic zones. Exhibitors will be showcasing the latest design trends and eyewear products. The 16th Hong Kong Optometric Conference was held on 8th November and its theme was “The Contemporary Role of Optometrists in Primary Care.”
Benjamin Chau, HKTDC Deputy Executive Director, stated, “As a major production centre and exporter in the global optical industry, Hong Kong has an important position in the global eyewear market. Being a leading industry event in Asia, the Hong Kong Optical Fair is expanding its scale this year, launching the new IT Solutions and Shop Fittings zone to showcase the latest applied technologies and products to help the industry raise production and business efficiency.”
In addition, the 11th edition of Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair runs from 8th to 10th November, also at HKCEC, showcasing fine wine and spirits from 1,075 exhibitors from 33 countries and regions. The fair is open to trade buyers and on the last day (10th November) it will open to public (age 18 or above).
