313 Exhibitors Join UBM’s Imabari Maritime Fair
The 2015 edition of Imabari Maritime Fair (Bari-Ship) recorded growth in both exhibitor and visitor numbers. Organised by UBM Japan, a subsidiary of UBM plc, the show hosted 313 exhibiting companies from 17 countries and regions, an increase of 33% from the previous edition.
Bari-Ship was held from 21st to 23rd May 2015 at Texport Imabari in Imabari City, Japan. UBM reported the addition of a new exhibition area this year to welcome the attendance of 9,042 trade visitors.
Bari-Ship focuses on shipbuilding technology, marine equipment and related products and services for the commercial shipping industry. The three-day trade show was supported by an international conference and an extensive program of technical seminars and workshops.
Christopher Eve, managing director of UBM Japan, commented, “The Bari-Ship exhibition is a showcase of the very latest in shipbuilding technology available for the worldwide shipping industry. Once again, Bari-Ship is sending a loud and clear message to the global marine community that Imabari’s shipbuilding and ship owning industries are strong and vibrant.”
The next edition of Bari-Ship, Imabari Maritime Fair will be held in May 2017.
