Deutsche Messe to Acquire LaserFair Shenzhen
This week, Deutsche Messe announced a deal to purchase a majority stake in LaserFair based in Shenzhen. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Launched in 2007, LaserFair’s management maintains it is the largest laser exhibition in southern China. The event focuses on key segment including laser processing, laser applications, and intelligent manufacturing. After the acquisition, the show will be directly managed by Deutsche Messe’s Chinese subsidiary, Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai together with the other shareholder, Shenzhen XZQ Information Science and Technology Company.
Andreas Luttmann, Director Global Fairs at Deutsche Messe, stated “China is the world’s biggest market for industrial laser systems. We are delighted to have in our portfolio a dedicated show for this burgeoning technology in one of the world's most important growth markets.”
The next edition of LaserFair Shenzhen will be held at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center (SZCEC) from 8th to 10th May 2019. It is expected to occupy an exhibition space of 22,500 m2, feature more than 250 exhibitors and attract over 20,000 visitors.
