VNU's Pet Fair Asia Grows 48 Percent
The 16th edition of Pet Fair Asia, organised by VNU Exhibitions Asia, concluded this year to a 48 percent growth in total exhibition space reaching 37,000 m2. The four-day show ran from 22nd to 25th August 2013 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center – with the last two days open to the public.
VNU reported the attendance of 602 exhibitors, up 19 percent from the 506 recorded in 2012. In terms of visitors, some 15,173 trade visitors attended the show, up 9 percent from 2012. According to VNU, 87 percednt of trade visitors were local Chinese with 13 percent originating from 43 overseas countries. The top five visiting countries were South Korea, Japan, Australia, Malaysia, and the U.S.
David Zhong, president of VNU Exhibitions Asia, said, “Exhibitors and visitors found in the show organisers strong supporters to their business and are happily satisfied with the results from their show attendance. Smiles are certainly not a scientific way to quantify the success of a show, but to see many happy faces among professional people is a first positive indicator of attendees’ satisfaction.”
The next edition of Pet Fair Asia will run from 21st to 24th August 2014 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.
