The event presents the latest technology and machinery in mineral extraction, earthmoving, safety equipment and much more. The exhibition provides a common platform for both local and international exhibitors, professionals, buyers and delegates who share a common outlook in the industry. Mining is one of the core sectors that drives growth in the East African region in terms of infrastructure and economy.

The mining industry in Kenya also has potential for growth, especially with the discovery of new mineral deposits, such as the Liranda Corridor gold project in Western Kenya, the Mrima Hill niobium and rare earth elements project in Kwale County, and the Mui Basin coal project in Kitui County. The mining industry in Kenya produces a variety of minerals and ores, such as gold, copper, ilmenite, tantalum, soda ash, limestone, salt, niobium, fluorspar, and fossil fuels. The availability of diverse and untapped mineral resources, such as gold, copper, ilmenite, tantalum, soda ash, limestone, salt, niobium, fluorspar, coal, and rare earth elements.
