The 3 days, the event brings together decision makers and influencers as well as technical experts and professionals from leading companies involved in power & energy generation, transmission and distribution sector within Africa and around the globe. Exhibiting companies at this event showcase their products and services to the industry's largest gathering of qualified decision-makers and experts in the region. The event focus is not only on Tanzania but the entire East African Region making it a key gateway event to explore the market.

Tanzania has a population of about 58 million people and a gross domestic product (GDP) of about $63 billion. Tanzania's energy sector is an emerging and diversified sector, with a mix of renewable and non-renewable sources, such as hydro, natural gas, coal, wind, solar, biomass, geothermal, and uranium. Tanzania has a diverse and renewable-rich energy mix, with a high share of hydro power and natural gas. Tanzania is one of the few countries to develop natural gas resources. Tanzania has taken measures to improve its energy efficiency and reduce its carbon emissions, such as implementing minimum energy performance standards and labels for appliances, promoting energy audits and management systems for industries, adopting green building codes and standards, developing mass transit systems and non-motorized transport options, expanding renewable energy generation and transmission capacity, implementing feed-in tariffs and net metering schemes, promoting clean cooking solutions and efficient charcoal production technologies, among others.

The story extends beyond the numbers – it reflects the tangible benefits brought to small and diverse-owned businesses, fostering economic empowerment in their communities.    MGM Resorts also supports the development and business skills of diverse-owned businesses through investment, mentorship and education. Through the MGM Resorts Supplier Diversity Mentorship Program, the company identifies, mentors and develops diverse-owned businesses to fill its future pipeline, while providing businesses with tools and resources to empower and uplift.
