With seven months remaining until the show, the 2014 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) continues to expand.
IPPE has already surpassed 350,000 net square feet of exhibit space, with more than 85 percent of the exhibit floor sold.
Comprised of the three collocated shows - International Poultry Expo, International Feed Expo, and International Meat Expo - more than 790 exhibitors have registered for the 2014 IPPE as of the beginning of June.

With International Pow Wow breaking records in Las Vegas recently, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and U.S. Travel Association announced the event will head back to the city in 2020.

The pace of growth may be slowing, but the trade show industry still just keeps moving in a positive direction, with the Center for Exhibition Industry Research’s Index showing a 1.3-percent increase to kick off the first quarter of this year, compared with the same time period last year.
Even though it’s the eleventh straight quarter with an uptick, the year started out lagging behind the overall GDP, which saw 1.8 percent growth, compared with Q1 2012.
The fourth quarter of 2012 ended with a more modest growth rate of 0.9 percent, according to CEIR.

The National Confectioners Association’s Sweets & Snacks Expo, held May 21-23 at Chicago’s McCormick Place, not only snagged a 10-percent increase in attendees, but also the number of new exhibitors rose 17 percent and the showfloor grew 9 percent, compared with the 2012 event.

The 2013 NACS (National Association of Convenience Stores) Show will feature a 392,000 net square foot exposition, which will make it the largest NACS Show expo ever.
This year’s NACS Show will take place Oct. 12-15 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. A total of 1,050 companies are exhibiting at the 2013 NACS Show - 150-plus companies are first-time exhibitors.

The National Association of Music Merchants recently named Cindy Sample director of Trade Show Operations, overseeing the association’s events.
