July 8, 2013

With four exhibitions already in Hong Kong, Diversified Events Hong Kong plans to launch another one - Natural & Organic Products Asia – Aug. 27-29, 2014, at the Hone Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

"We are delighted to bring the highly acclaimed Natural & Organic Products brand to Asia, we are confident of growing a quality trade event to the benefit of the both this burgeoning industry and to Hong Kong,” said Diversified Events HK General Manager Stuart Bailey.

There will be four areas of focus for the event - natural food, natural beauty and spa, natural living and health and nutrition.

Diversified Events Hong Kong, a division of U.S.-based Diversified Business Communications, decided to launch the show after consulting with suppliers who said there was a gap in the natural and organics market in the Asia/Pacific region.

The company also has run the London-based Natural & Organic Products Europe exhibition for the past 17 years.

The sales of natural and organic products worldwide has more than doubled in the last decade, with business in Asia expected to rise.

"The health and nutrition industry, which includes all dietary supplements, natural remedies, natural and organic foods and beverages, natural and organic personal care, as well as household products, has risen steadily since 2000,” said Jim Manson, editor of Natural Products Magazine.

He added, “The expected growth rate in 2013 will be 7 percent, with the highest rate of growth coming from Asia.”

International trade bodies in the sector also have supported the show’s launch.

"Austrade is very pleased to learn about the announcement of the Natural & Organic Products Asia event,” said Dan Tebbutt, senior trade commissioner at Australian Trade Commission Hong Kong & Macau.

He added, “The natural and organic market is an important industry sector for Australian manufacturers many of whom are looking to the emerging markets of Asia for distribution.”

Diversified Events Hong Kong holds four other events in Hong Kong - Restaurant & Bar, Asian Seafood Expo, Retail Asia Expo and Learning & Teaching Expo.
