George Little Management Gets Crafty with New Creative & Lifestyle Arts Show
Crafters will have a new show to go to on the East Coast when Creative & Lifestyle Arts (C&LA) launches alongside George Little Management’s National Stationery Show.
The new event will run May 19-22 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center of New York.
“C&LA is the only event dedicated to the thousands of independent and ‘big box’ stores that sell art supplies, crafting merchandise and creative hobby products on the east coast,” said Patti Stracher, vice president, National Stationery Show. “C&LA is a natural fit with the National Stationery Show in terms of product synergies and cross-marketing opportunities.”
She added, “The collocation will attract a significantly expanded retailer base to the market and generate exciting new buying opportunities for social stationery retailers looking to incorporate craft and paper art supplies into their merchandise mix.”
Approximately 150 manufacturers, presenting a broad range of innovative crafting and paper art supplies; embellishments; art materials; design tools; DIY kits for home decor, party, holiday and card making; along with supplies for floral, glass, woodworking, jewelry making, needlecrafts and scrapbooking, according to show organizers.
Attendees will include more than 3,600 owners, buyers, merchandise executives, distributors, sales reps and product developers.
The new GLM show will be held just five months after the West Coast-based, longstanding Craft & Hobby Association’s Winter Conference & Trade Show, Jan. 11-14 at the Anaheim Convention Center, and a few months before CHA’s summer show in Rosemont.
C&LA and the National Stationery Show will feature educational programs, demonstrations, themed displays and networking opportunities.
Highlights will include new “NSS Live” presentation theatres, product focus areas and the return of Party on the Battery.
Attendees will be able to go to both shows and there will be shared shuttle service, according to show organizers.
