John Hopkins Offers Six Interactive Online CME Summits

CardioCare Live, the online cardiology congress, and John Hopkins Medicine have partnered to offer six one-hour interactive CME Summits that include experts via online video with live Q&A.

Sessions will focus on interventional cardiology and diabetes care, and participants will have the opportunity to earn continuing medical education credits.

The two main online events include the Cardiology Educational Summit and Diabetes Virtual Education Summit, which offer three sessions in each module.

Some of the sessions for the diabetes track are as follows:

“What Works for Type 2 Diabetes and Associated Obesity?” led by Thomas W. Donner, M.D., activity director and associate professor of Medicine at the John  Hopkins University School of Medicine.

“Present and Future Perspectives on Diabetes Prevention” with a panel that includes Lawrence Appel, MD, Professor of Medicine, Roger Blumenthal, MD, activity director and professor of Medicine, and Donner, all from John Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Some of the sessions from the cardiology track are as follows:

“Assessing Progress in Coronary Stenting” led by Roxana Mehran, MD, professor of Medicine, and Gregg W. Stone, MD, Professor of Medicine, both  from John Hopkins University School of Medicine.

“Interventions in Peripheral Vascular Disease” with Robert Schainfeld, DO, associate director, Vascular Medicine, and Christopher P. Cannon, MD, activity director and professor of Medicine, both from John Hopkins University School of Medicine.

All of the sessions will be approximately 50 minutes and will be held Jan. 16.
