Reed Exhibitions Will Launch Newest All-Energy-branded Event in Canada
Reed Exhibitions has been busy since it bought All-Energy, the U.K.'s largest renewable energy exhibition and conference, in July 2011.
First, it spun off the show into Australia in early 2012, and now, Reed Exhibitions is expanding into the North American renewables market with the launch of All-Energy Canada.
The new show is scheduled Oct. 2-3, 2013, at Exhibition Place in Toronto.
All-Energy Canada will be held in conjunction with the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association and, like the two other All-Energy events, will encompass all aspects of renewable and sustainable energy and feature an exhibit floor and accompanying conference.
"Developing All-Energy Canada with OSEA is an important step in securing our position in the North American alternative energy market," said Jonathan Heastie, exhibition director of Renewable and Alternative Energy Global Group for Reed Exhibitions.
He added, "What's more, it is a key element of our global renewable energy strategy, the expansion of which was a deciding factor when acquiring All-Energy.”
Dr. David DeYoe, president of the OSEA board, said, "OSEA is thrilled that Reed Exhibitions has chosen to collaborate with us for this continent's All-Energy.”
He added, “Clearly, they recognize the important role that OSEA has played in shaping the sustainable energy agenda in Ontario and in providing a positive influence in the balance of North America.”
All-Energy Canada is just the latest in a rapidly growing alternative energy portfolio for Reed Exhibitions worldwide.
Some of the events include World Smart Energy Week (Tokyo), World Future Energy Summit (Abu Dhabi), Asia Future Energy Forum (Singapore), and Fenesucro & Agrocana (Sertaozinho, Brazil).
“Over 165,000 visitors attended the 18 Reed Exhibitions' alternative energy events in 2011, meeting 3,000 exhibitors and taking part in fascinating and highly relevant conference sessions, and networking to great effect,” Heastie said.
He added, “We will leverage our knowledge and contacts within the industry through this portfolio of leading events to help develop All-Energy Canada.”
The combination of the natural resources that can be utilized to generate clean, sustainable energy in Canada and the culture of sustainability that exists in Ontario make Toronto the ideal place to launch the newest All-Energy show, Heastie said.
“Ontario, as Canada's most populous province, is leading the way in supporting renewables through the Green Energy Act (GEA) and OSEA's role in driving forward the green agenda, both in the province and across the country, was instrumental in our choosing them as the key industry stakeholder to develop All-Energy Canada,” he added.
