New AI Chatbot Eases Attendees Into the Virtual Event Experience

May 27, 2020

In response to the influx of physical events transitioning to virtual, AI live event chatbot creator 42Chat has launched Virtual Event Bots to help streamline the virtual attendee experience. Attendees simply type their queries into a chatbot window on the event’s registration microsite, virtual event site or both, and the virtual bot responds to their event-related questions within seconds.

Able to be deployed in less than an hour and capable of responding to questions around the clock, Virtual Event Bots serve as a low-friction customer support tool that helps free up event staff to focus on executing their event rather than having to field basic and often repetitive attendee questions.

The platform provides 24/7 interaction and engagement via communication channels including SMS, Web Messenger, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and other messaging platforms.

Event organizers can also add an extra text messaging feature to their Virtual Event Bot that will allow them to do the following:

  • Deliver notifications straight to attendees’ smartphones
  • Capture the needs of attendees through two-way conversations so they can better respond
  • Keep in touch with attendees during and post-event for marketing and relationship-building purposes

While these conversational bots have at least a 95 percent correct response rate, more complex questions must be directed to event staff, according to 42Chat officials.

“There will undoubtedly be unexpected questions and challenges that require an immediate response,” said Chuck Elias, CEO and founder of 42Chat. “That’s where our Virtual Event Bots come in, by providing instant answers 24/7 and capturing new questions that you may not have expected so event managers can respond appropriately.”
