NASFT'S Winter Fancy Food Show Will Feature TV Food Personalities

The National Association for the Specialty Food Trade’s Winter Fancy Food Show, on tap in January in San Francisco, is set to feature a bevy of TV food personalities, along with a packed showfloor and education sessions.

The show has teamed up with Cooking Channel for a special session on how to connect with an audience on camera and beyond, according to show organizers.

“Chop, Chat and Charm: Connecting with Your Audience,” will feature Melissa D’Arabian, host of “Ten Dollar Dinners” on Food Network and Drop 5lbs. on the Cooking Channeland Sara Moulton, host of public television’s “Sara’s Weeknight Meals”, food editor of “Good Morning America andauthor of the weekly AP columnHealthy Plate. Joanne Weir, host of public television’s “Joanne Weir’s Cooking Confidence”, will participate and moderate.

The session is part of a full line up of expert-led workshops slated for the Winter Fancy Food Show, which will take place Jan. 20-22 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. 

“Specialty food is fueled by passionate food artisans, chefs and entrepreneurs,” said NASFT President Ann Daw.

She added, “We are delighted to bring programming that can help manufacturers share their craft and joy with television audiences, as well as consumers in the marketplace.”

The show’s keynote presenter is John Mackey, co-founder and co-CEO of Whole Foods Market, who will speak about his new book, Conscious Capitalism.

The education program begins with the Super Retailer Summit, a one-day offsite workshop Jan. 18 with topics including store design, social media and internal controls.

It is one of more than 15 seminars targeted to all levels of specialty food professionals from emerging entrepreneur to veteran manufacturer.
