a2z Launches New Business Intelligence & Reporting Engine for B2B Events Industry

September 27, 2018

Cloud-based event management and marketing solutions technology provider, a2z has officially launched its new Business Intelligence & Reporting Engine for the B2B events industry.

Now available to a2z’s existing clients at no additional cost, this robust, state-of-the-art engine is designed to help event management teams mine and visualize their data with extra ease.

“When there are too many numbers in a report, our eyes start to glaze over,” said Rajiv Jain, president and CEO of a2z. “One big part of this release is that you can see the data, you can group it and you can slice and dice it.”

He added, “This reporting engine would make the client perform at a very different level as well. They can visualize their own data and start to get the insight and actionable items out of this tool now a whole lot more.”

Suitable for shows of all sizes, the engine offers a wide array of user-friendly data visualization, comparison and sharing tools to help make analysis and distribution easier than ever, including eye-catching charts and graphics.

Key features include:

  • Business Intelligence (BI) platform
  • Intuitive, interactive user interface with drag and drop features
  • Powerful data visualizations
  • Multi-event, multi-dimensional reporting
  • Rules-based and user-driven workflows
  • Comprehensive report sharing, emailing, scheduling and printing features

“Show organizers can now tell the story they see in the data,” Jain explained, “It’s also easy to share and distribute, making it very easy to share the insights in a timely manner.”

He added that it’s also possible now to schedule automatically downloaded reports. “Your boss, for example, can receive every Monday morning and you will be the hero,” Jain said.

He continued, “This feature is unique in the exhibitions industry. It’s rare to be able to do comparisons on the fly, without having to import data from a lot of different sources. In the past, exposition teams had to do it all manually (but) they can now do it in a very visual way. That makes it an extremely powerful resource.”

According to a2z officials, the new BI & Reporting Engine is another component in the tech company’s ongoing initiative to provide the events industry with access to meaningful, predictive data to inspire innovation and faster growth.

As an example of this, Jain cited a2z’s StAR (Strategic Analysis Report) service, which helps executives make more effective, data-driven decisions for their future shows, along with the CEIR Exhibitor Retention Benchmarking Dashboard Tool as solutions that are contributing to more insightful decision-making in the industry.

“We are excited to preview a2z’s new BI & Reporting Engine,” said Manuel Lemus, business manager with Emerald Expositions, which participated in a2z’s beta program. “It’s a powerful solution for data mining and visualization and will prove very useful for our entire suite of events.”

He continued, “I’m glad that a2z is bringing such cutting-edge reporting capabilities into its solutions to make self-service analyses easier. We’re looking forward to creating multi-faceted reports for our brands so that, moving forward, our show management teams can make even more insightful projections and decisions.”
