Builders are building again was the sentiment at the new Design and Construction Week launched this year by collocating the National Association of Home Builders’ International Builders’ Show (IBS) and the National Kitchen & Bath Association’s Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS). Already in several cities worldwide, the Consumer Electronic Association’s International CES Unveiled event series will expand to three more - Shanghai, Warsaw and Sao Paulo.
The CES Unveiled event series brings innovative technology companies, top media, buyers, analysts and key industry influencers together to showcase new products and tech trends leading up to the 2015 CES.
The series currently goes to Paris, New York and Las Vegas.

Despite winter weather causing havoc the past few weeks, archery and surfing enthusiasts weren’t deterred from being at shows in those sectors, resulting in positive numbers for attendance and exhibitors.
The 2014 (Archery Trade Association) Trade Show was held Jan. 6-8 in Nashville, Tenn. - smack dab in the middle of the Polar Vortex pushing bone-chilling temperatures into the United States – but that didn’t stop the show from achieving record-breaking results.

With this year’s show tracking well in Atlanta, the organizers of FABTECH, North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating, finishing and welding event, are sticking with success by signing up to bring the show back to the city in 2018 and 2022.
The Society of Manufacturing Engineer’s FABTECH was last held in Atlanta in 2010, drawing 22,000 attendees from 50 countries, and this year’s event, scheduled Nov. 11-13 at Georgia’s World Congress Center, is expected to draw expect to draw 27,000 attendees and 1,400 exhibitors.

The 37th SHOT (Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor, Trade) Show, owned and sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, saw a 6-percent jump in attendance this year, coming in at 67,000 attendees. The 2014 Cattle Industry Convention and NCBA Trade Show, scheduled Feb. 4-7 in Nashville, Tenn., is shaping up to be its largest one yet.
The NCBA Trade Show – for years, the beef cattle industry’s largest – is getting bigger, adding more than 30 exhibitors several thousand square feet of exhibit space.
In 2014, there will be more than 300 exhibitors on 247,000 square feet that cover 5.7 acres. These exhibitors will feature everything from animal health products and ranch equipment to real estate, seed products, software, and western art.

Even though it’s still about two months away, the International Housewares Association’s 2014 International Home + Housewares Show, March 15-18 at Chicago’s McCormick Place, is completely sold out of exhibit space.
“This is the earliest the show has been sold out on exhibit space and is a sign of how important this world-class marketplace is to IHA member suppliers,” said Phil Brandl, IHA president and CEO.

From wearables to robots to driverless cars, the Consumer Electronic Association's 2014 International CES, the world's largest tech event, delivered impressive amount of innovation Jan. 7-10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and other venues around the city.
The show set a new record at 2 million net square feet, compared with 1.92 million sq. ft. in 2013, and featured about 3,250 exhibitors, on par with last year. Attendance was expected to be close to 150,000.
