Dedicated to bargain apparel, accessories and footwear, OFFPRICE Show may have gained its momentum during the economic downtown, but it continues to have a strong presence even as things begin to turn around.
Held Aug. 19-22 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas, the event spanned 125,000 net square feet and attracted approximately 500 exhibiting companies, which is on par with its February numbers of 126,000 square feet and 497 exhibiting companies.
August attendance was also close to the 11,500 that attended the previous event, according to show officials.

Reed Exhibitions has been busy since it bought All-Energy, the U.K.'s largest renewable energy exhibition and conference, in July 2011.
First, it spun off the show into Australia in early 2012, and now, Reed Exhibitions is expanding into the North American renewables market with the launch of All-Energy Canada.
The new show is scheduled Oct. 2-3, 2013, at Exhibition Place in Toronto.

The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) recently supported the Queensland region by holding its board meeting and a series of roundtable and networking events at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, which will host the G20 Conference in 2014.

Global Sources’ China Sourcing Fairs and collocated India Sourcing Fairs debuted Aug. 14 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with sold-out shows.
The sold-out events were the largest Greater China products exhibitions in Brazil, featuring more than 500 booths.
The success of the combined shows is an indication of the growing importance of trade partnerships between Greater China suppliers and the burgeoning South American market, according to Global Sources’ officials.

Nielsen Expositions’ Medtrade 2012 still is two months out from opening its doors Oct. 16-18 at the Georgia World Congress Center, but it already has nearly sold out of all of its exhibit space.
Space sold quickly, with 90 percent of the floor booked just two months after its April show wrapped with the trend continuing through the summer months.
Medtrade Group Show Director Kevin Gaffney said he expects to sell all of the remaining space prior to the show’s start date.
