From crazy nail designs to textured curls and wrinkle erasers, the spirit of style and rejuvenation was in the air at Cosmoprof North America, the annual trade show and conference for beauty professionals held July 14 -16 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

For the first time, the annual SEMA (Specialty Equipment Marketing Association) Hot Rod Industry Alliance Education Day will be held in conjunction with the Detroit Autorama – the 60-year old custom cars show taking place in March at Detroit’s Cobo Center.
The program will consist of 24 sessions, each led by a hot rod parts manufacturer who will educate attendees about the products’ features, benefits and installation guidelines.

The U.S. Poultry & Egg Association has made Atlanta the home for its International Production & Processing Expo for more than six decades, and it doesn’t plan to go someplace else any time soon, signing on to the city through 2020.
The deal recently was completed with the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The SEMA Show, produced by the Specialty Equipment Market Association, has expanded rapidly into international markets, with more than 15,000 overseas buyers expected at the Nov. 5-8 show at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
“As global demand for the industry’s products soars, there is huge opportunity for our members,” said Peter MacGillivray, SEMA vice president of events and communications.

Attendees will be getting a two-for-one by having two industry meetings collocate for the first time this year – the American Society of Association Executive's (ASAE) Annual Meeting and the International Association of exhibitions and Events’ Midyear Meeting.
The ASAE meeting will run Aug. 3-6 and IAEE’s meeting will run Aug. 5-7, both in Atlanta.
The collocation announcement was made at IAEE’s annual meeting in December by the organization’s president, David Dubois and John Graham, president and CEO of ASAE.

Already in London, New York and Las Vegas, the Consumer Electronics Association will expand its International CES Unveiled event series to two new locations – Paris and Tel Aviv.
The CES Unveiled event series is a ‘taste’ of the annual event in January in Las Vegas that brings together technology companies, media and key influencers.

With seven months remaining until the show, the 2014 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) continues to expand.
IPPE has already surpassed 350,000 net square feet of exhibit space, with more than 85 percent of the exhibit floor sold.
Comprised of the three collocated shows - International Poultry Expo, International Feed Expo, and International Meat Expo - more than 790 exhibitors have registered for the 2014 IPPE as of the beginning of June.
