Singapore Exhibition Services Food&HotelAsia (FHA) and Wine&SpiritsAsia (WSA) shows will be the first to max out all 10 halls at the Singapore Expo and Max Atria when the show is held April 8-11.
Spanning a total of 100,000 square meters, an 8 percent increase in size from 2012, this year’s show will be the largest edition in the event’s 37-year history.
FHA started out the Hyatt hotel’s basement car park, where 213 exhibitors from 13 countries/regions took up 4,000 sq. m.

The 37th SHOT (Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor, Trade) Show, owned and sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, saw a 6-percent jump in attendance this year, coming in at 67,000 attendees. Glittering gowns, tuxes galore, flutes of champagne and massive exhibits filled with the latest cars were just a few of the many highlights at this year’s North American International Auto Show’s Charity Preview Jan. 17 at Detroit’s Cobo Center.

The long-awaited plan to renovate and expand the Global Spectrum-managed Miami Beach Convention Center, as well as add a headquarter hotel and surrounding development project, was scrapped by a new mayor in the city and mostly new board of Miami Beach commissioners.
A previous board had embraced the project and hired developer South Beach ACE, led by Tishman Hotel and Realty and Miami Beach developer Robert Wennett.

From Jan. 12-15, several thousand attendees flocked to the Professional Convention Management Association’s Convening Leaders 2014 annual meeting in Boston, making it the highest attended event in the organization’s history.
While PCMA President and CEO Deborah Sexton declined to reveal the actual number of attendees at a press conference held during the event, she did say that this year broke the two previous years’ records held by Orlando and San Diego, which both had 3,751 attendees.

The 2014 Cattle Industry Convention and NCBA Trade Show, scheduled Feb. 4-7 in Nashville, Tenn., is shaping up to be its largest one yet.
The NCBA Trade Show – for years, the beef cattle industry’s largest – is getting bigger, adding more than 30 exhibitors several thousand square feet of exhibit space.
In 2014, there will be more than 300 exhibitors on 247,000 square feet that cover 5.7 acres. These exhibitors will feature everything from animal health products and ranch equipment to real estate, seed products, software, and western art.

Even though it’s still about two months away, the International Housewares Association’s 2014 International Home + Housewares Show, March 15-18 at Chicago’s McCormick Place, is completely sold out of exhibit space.

From wearables to robots to driverless cars, the Consumer Electronic Association's 2014 International CES, the world's largest tech event, delivered impressive amount of innovation Jan. 7-10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and other venues around the city.
The show set a new record at 2 million net square feet, compared with 1.92 million sq. ft. in 2013, and featured about 3,250 exhibitors, on par with last year. Attendance was expected to be close to 150,000.
