Bangkok Exhibition Services Ltd, a member company of the Allworld Exhibition Alliance, will launch its new CommuniCast Myanmar at a new larger venue, Myanmar Event Park, from 18th to 20th November 2014.
Myanmar Event Park, located at the West central side of Yangon, will offer 6,000 m2 of exhibition space, which can accommodate more exhibitors as well as hosting concurrent associated industry events. Themed “Building Networks, Expanding Communities”, the inaugural CommuniCast Myanmar will also include a number of conferences and seminars.

Messe Frankfurt’s 24th edition of Interior Lifestyle Tokyo was recently concluded at the Tokyo Big Sight attracting 819 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions. According to Messe Frankfurt, 607 exhibitors were from Japan and 212 originated from overseas. The three-day show took place from 4th to 6th June 2014 and occupied five exhibition halls.

Earlier this week, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council(HKTDC) published its annual report for the financial year ended 31st March 2014. Revenues generated from exhibitions and trade missions were US$240 million, a year-on-year growth of 14%. Overall, the HKTDC’s total revenues, including the government subvention of US$50 million, were US$353 million, up 9.6%.

In the past 23 years, as Galaxy evolved to modern-day Experient, Mike Godsey has not only seen the once omnipresent magstripe come to life, but also its demise, followed immediately by its evolution into what is being used today for lead retrieval on the showfloor.

Tom Mobley, who has served as Global Spectrum senior vice president of Convention Centers since January of 2006, has retired, effective June 30.
Before joining Global Spectrum, Mobley served as general manager and CEO of the Washington Convention Center Authority in Washington, D.C.

Elvis and Liberace used to live there and its one of the few properties right next to the Las Vegas Convention Center, but now the hotel most recently known as the LVH – Las Vegas Hilton was bought by Florida-based Westgate Resorts.
The hotel will be renamed the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.

EXPO PACK México 2014, recently held June 17-20 in Mexico City at Centro Banamex, closed with the show’s second consecutive sold-out event, according to show owner and organizer PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies.
With its 18,738 net square meters (201,694 square feet) of exhibit space, 1,025 exhibitors and 25,015 visitors, this year was one of the largest overall events in the history of EXPO PACK México’s history, according to show management.
